How to Create an Exit-Intent Pop-Up in CRM

Updated over 6 months ago

An exit-intent pop-up is a type of message or form that shows up just as a visitor is about to navigate away from a webpage. It works by tracking cursor movement toward the browser’s close button or another tab, prompting a pop-up with an offer, sign-up form, or call to action.

Exit-intent pop-ups are a powerful way to:

  • Reduce bounce rates

  • Capture leads before they leave

  • Offer last-minute deals or incentives

  • Improve conversion rates

With CRM, you can create an exit-intent pop-up to increase engagement and keep potential leads from slipping away.

Step 1: Create a Contact Form (or use a template)

Step 2: Add the Form to a Pop-Up

Go to the Funnel or Website Builder

Navigate to the correct client account (also known as a sub-account) and then go to Sites → Funnels or Websites.

Select the funnel or page where you want to display the exit-intent pop-up.

Open the funnel or website editor.

Click on Pop-ups (from the top menu).

Click + New Pop-up, give it a name, and start designing.

Add Your Form to the Pop-Up

Drag a Form element into the pop-up.

Select the form you created earlier.

Customize the pop-up design to match your branding.

Step 3: Test & Publish

Preview the Funnel Pages

Move your cursor towards closing the page or switching tabs to test the pop-up.

Make Adjustments

If needed, tweak the design, content, or triggers.

Publish the Funnel/Page

Click Save and Publish to make the changes live.
